Beautiful Tree

EDWIN KIPTANUI CHIRCHIR edchirchir@yahoo.com edchirchir85@gmail.com

Aristotle (also called ALICETOTO) told me that this is a Palm Tree.

I am personally not sure and so I distance myself from any misinformation which might result from this claim. I am too lazy to google so I will pass the burden of proof to you the reader.

If only this Palm Tree (did you google?) could think, observe and memorize events then it could be the most knowledgeable tree around. It would in fact qualify to be called the tree of knowledge.

It has been standing within this particular estate for as long as I can remember.
If only it could have eyes up there then, it would possibly take advantage of it’s high position to observe the happenings in the sorrounding compounds.

It would know who is the thief who occasionally sneaks into other people’s compounds at night and borrowing things without the owner’s knowledge.

It would be able to identify those girlfriends who are sneaked into houses in the dead of the night and sneaked out before the confused urban cocks crow. I say they are confused because we have one who crows at 1 am. Urban cocks lost their culture and manners a long time ago. Bure kabisa!

The tree would be in a position to tell us who this person is, who wakes up innocent residents way past midnight, with a noisy Subaru. It must be a Subaru Impreza driven by a young man who is trying to impress someone’s daughter.

This Palm tree would also be glad to tell us who sings Michael Jackson’s ‘Will you be there?’ at 2 am, while expressing his undying love for ‘Wairimu Wakwa'. Whispers within the estate seem to point at Kinuthia, the one who lives up there. It is said that he has a thing for Wairimu, but Wairimu is keeping 'Sosho Distance'. Wairimu ‘Priss’ come for your potential husband.

By the way, I only wanted to inform you that this tree is beautiful, but not as beautiful as Wairimu.
